Is this business worth valuation the same as a business appraisal?

No, a business appraisal is a more intensive analysis requiring on-site walkthrough of a business, verification of financials, collection of data, interviews and other procedures. Formal business appraisals start at around $3,000 depending on the size and complexity of a business.

What methods are used for valuing (pricing) a business?

There are various industry standard methods used in the analysis which are suitable for small businesses and are shown on the final report all encompassing the three major valuation categories; Asset-based, Income-based and Market-based

Are any of your methods used considered "Rule of Thumb"?

PriceMyBiz analysis does not use "Rule of Thumb" for final determination of value. PriceMyBiz does show "Rule of Thumb" on the analysis for informational purposes only and mostly to demonstrate how far off "Rule of Thumb methods can, at times, deviate greatly from industry accepted methods.

Is the business information given held in confidentiality?

Absolutely! In fact, we never request any specific information that could identify the business such as the business name, business phone numbers, business address, etc. Any business that orders our evaluation analysis is completely anonymous.

What is the process for ordering and receiving the business evaluation?

After placing the order an email will be sent with instructions for making the credit card payment with a link to a PriceMyBiz webpage to complete a questionaire and instructions for sending financial statements.

What is the turn around from order to analysis?

Once an order is placed, a PriceMyBiz email reply should be sent within 1-2 business days. Once you have made the payment as instructed in the email, survey completed and financials sent, the analysis should be done within 5 business days and sent via email.

What format is the business evaluation analysis?

The analysis will be in Microsoft Excel format and sent via email. Sample screenshots.

Can the business worth valuation be used in determining a price for purchasing a business?

Absolutely! This is a great tool to help a business buyer determine a basis for negotiating the sales price.

What if I do not want to order but have some questions to ask?

Are PriceMyBiz business valuations done for foreign businesses?

Business valuations are only available for business located within the United States.
